Honorary fellowship award - Rev. Alan Galt OAM

An Honorary Fellowship of the New South Wales College of Clinical Pastoral Education Incorporated is awarded to Rev. Alan Galt OAM, in recognition of his pioneering work in establishing multifaith and multicultural Clinical Pastoral Education in the community and for his vision and foresight in enabling CPE graduates to progress along the supervisory pathway towards accreditation as Clinical Pastoral Supervisors, Educators and Education Consultants.
Alan has established links between the NSW College of CPE and the Buddhist Council of NSW, the Islamic Science and Research Academy, and the Iona Columba Korean College.
Alan’s tenure as a member of the NSWCCPE Academic Board and as Academic Dean has spanned more than two decades with Alan stepping back into the role in 2022. In this role he has made a significant contribution to the development of Masters programs in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Supervision in collaboration with the Sydney College of Divinity.
